The host municipalities are preparing a wide range of side events, fan zones and opportunities for visitors to discover local attractions, cuisine and regional highlights during the Championships.

Representatives of the host municipalities, tourism organisations and other local partners gathered for their first joint workshop at Blagnet House in Šenčur, where they met with the organisers to coordinate key aspects of the Championships. Discussions focused on event organisation, traffic management, communications, promotion and ways to involve local communities.

Special attention was given to the accompanying programme that will complement the sporting action. The municipalities will organise fan zones, cultural and sporting events, presentations of local associations, culinary experiences and other activities showcasing their destinations. All activities will be coordinated with the organisers to ensure they are delivered in line with the Championships’ regulations and visual identity.

The 2026 UEC Road European Championships will connect twelve host municipalities – Ljubljana, Medvode, Škofja Loka, Kranj, Vodice, Mengeš, Domžale, Kamnik, Komenda, Cerklje na Gorenjskem, Preddvor and Šenčur – bringing together sport and tourism. Alongside the racing, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the places along the route, while the host municipalities will showcase their destinations to both domestic and international audiences.
