Primož Roglič brought the 2026 UEC Road European Championships to a close by claiming the European title in the individual time trial. Racing in front of the home crowd in Šenčur, he finished ahead of France’s Bruno Armirail and Maxime Decomble.
Roglič claimed European gold in the final race of the championships, with Armirail finishing seven seconds behind and Decomble taking third place. “This title is not just for me, but also for all the people who have been with us throughout these days and everyone who made it possible to host the European Championships in Slovenia. It is a beautiful way to finish the championships for all of us. I gave everything I had out on the road and luckily it was enough. Let’s enjoy this title together,” Roglič said after his victory.
Reusser Defends European Title
In the elite women’s race, Switzerland’s Marlen Reusser claimed victory ahead of the Netherlands’ Demi Vollering and France’s Juliette Berthet. Slovenia’s Nika Bobnar finished 17th. In the younger categories, the European titles went to Alejandra Neira Dominguez, Benjamín Noval, Nienke Vinke and Héctor Álvarez. Following his victory in the road race, Álvarez added another European title in the individual time trial.
Roglič’s victory brought the six-day 2026 UEC Road European Championships in Šenčur to a close.
