The race routes of the 2026 UEC Road European Championships will take visitors through vibrant towns, picturesque countryside and the Alpine landscapes of central Slovenia and the Gorenjska region.
The 2026 UEC Road European Championships will not only be the largest cycling event ever held in independent Slovenia, but also an opportunity to discover the country. The routes will connect the capital city of Ljubljana with the historic towns of Central Slovenia and the Gorenjska region before reaching the Alpine foothills, where Europe’s best riders will compete for the European titles.
The races will start in the heart of Ljubljana before continuing through towns and communities, each telling its own story of Slovenia. Along the route, visitors will discover the medieval towns of Škofja Loka, Kranj and Kamnik, as well as Medvode, Vodice, Mengeš, Domžale, Komenda, Cerklje na Gorenjskem, Preddvor and Šenčur, where local traditions, warm hospitality and the rhythm of modern life come together.
